What does your 2 year health guarantee cover?

We stand behind the health of our puppies. The 2 year health guarantee covers major genetic life-threatening defects such as a heart condition. It does not cover treatable health issues like parasites etc.

What is the pricing for your puppies?

Puppy adoption ranges from 1495 and up, dependent on genetics. Puppy availability and specific litter pricing can be found here

How do I reserve a puppy?

If you will provide a loving home, you can reserve your puppyhereIn addition to reading the contract, we require a $500 downpayment. The remaining balance is due at pickup.Read the contract

How does your adoption process work?

Looks_one

Placing a deposit of 500 secures your puppy, whether from a current or anticipated litter. Your deposit applies to the listed cost of the puppy. We will be in touch within 24-48 hours to confirm your reservation.

We alert you via email or text when your puppy is born and schedule your pickup appointment at that time. If your puppy is already born, the pickup date is noted in the litter listing. We provide weekly photo updates as the puppies grow!

Utilizing Volhard's Puppy Aptitude Test, our team completes individualized personality tests on each puppy in the litter at 6-7 weeks old. Photos and test results are sent to you via email for you to choose your puppy. We can also provide a recommendation based on your lifestyle and what you are looking for in a puppy. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd pick in the litter is determined by date of deposit.

At 8 weeks of age, you will come pick up your puppy at your pre-scheduled appointment time! Personalized delivery to your door is available on request.

What if I am unable to pickup my puppy on the take home date?

We understand life happens and schedules conflict. We try our best to accommodate your needs. We are flexible and can usually accommodate a custom pickup date. We can also keep your puppy after the 8 week mark for $29/day.

Do you schedule meet-n-greet visits for the puppies and parents?

We love meeting new people and seeing the joy that our puppies bring to everyone. We are only able to schedule meet-n-greets when the puppies are 8 weeks old. Do you start any basic training at Buckeye Goldens?

New for 2024! We now offer a 2 week package of introductory training for the following: potty training, leash training, and crate training. This is an additional package available for 499. Training starts at 6 weeks old and is completed in house by the Buckeye Goldens Team!

What is a started puppy? A started puppy heads off to “ school” at 8 weeks old to live in home with one of Align K9’s professional trainers before going to its forever home. When is my new puppy ready to come home?

Our puppies are ready for their new homes when they are 8 weeks old. They are fully weaned and eating dry kibble.

Should I schedule a vet check for my new puppy?

Our puppies receive a litter vet check and are up-to-date on their first shots and de-wormings. We do ask that your new puppy is seen by your local vet within 3 days of arriving home.

Contract

Deposit and Sales Contract
The following contract is between Buckeye Golden Retrievers and the buyer for the purchase of a purebred Golden Retriever puppy.

RESERVING A PUPPY - DEPOSIT
‍Once a buyer has decided to purchase a puppy, a deposit of $500 is required to hold the selected puppy. The deposit can be paid to Buckeye Golden Retrievers on our website.

PAYMENT
‍When the puppy is 8 weeks of age, the balance of the payment for the price of the puppy is due upon pickup. If the puppy is being shipped to the buyer, the balance including shipping must be paid in full before the puppy is released for shipping. Upon receiving the balance of the price of the puppy, Buckeye Golden Retrievers will release the puppy to the new owner.

DEPOSIT REFUND POLICY
‍Puppy deposits are non-refundable. If the buyer is unable to move forward with the purchase of a puppy from an existing litter, Buckeye Golden Retrievers will be released from the obligation to hold this puppy for you, and may sell this puppy to another customer. If a buyer backs out on purchasing a puppy after the puppy is born, the deposit is non-transferrable to a future litter. If you are making a puppy deposit for a puppy from an anticipated litter, and the anticipated puppy becomes unavailable, Buckeye Golden Retrievers will refund your entire deposit or offer the option of replacing this puppy with another puppy from a current or future litter. By placing a deposit, the buyer agrees to the terms of this contract.

TWO YEAR HEALTH GUARANTEE
‍We guarantee this puppy, to the best of our knowledge, to be healthy. The puppy has had a complete physical exam by our vet, received the first puppy vaccination, and has been dewormed. The buyer will be responsible for obtaining, within 3 days of acquiring the puppy, an evaluation by a veterinarian. If the puppy was not examined within the first 3 days of ownership, the health guarantee becomes void. Should the puppy be diagnosed with a congenital medical disorder that will cause certain premature death, the seller will, upon provision of veterinary reports, provide the buyer with the option of returning the puppy and replacing the puppy with one of equal value. The buyer holds harmless the seller for any vet bill or other puppy-related expenses. Coccidia, Giardia, UTI, fleas, parasites, worms and other treatable illness are not applicable to the one year health guarantee. Buckeye Golden Retrievers is not liable for long term medical care, treatment, or extraordinary measures if these are elected by the buyer. The seller is not responsible for behavior problems, improper training, personal injury, or property damage caused by the puppy. The buyer will hold harmless the seller from any sickness, death, or loss of the puppy when it leaves the premises. The 2 year health guarantee is contingent upon the buyer providing TLC dog food for the puppy's diet. The 1 year health guarantee is void if the buyer moves to another brand of dog food.
The buyer agrees that, if for any reason they are unable to keep the puppy, they will return the puppy to the seller at no charge. Buckeye Golden Retrievers will not reimburse the buyer for the purchase price if the buyer is unable to keep the puppy. The buyer may agree to have the puppy placed in a new home if approved by the seller. Under no circumstances is the puppy to be transferred to another owner without the consent of the seller.
The purchaser agrees that they will love, care for, and otherwise be responsible for this Golden Retriever Puppy that is being transferred to their care.

LIMITED REGISTRATION
‍This puppy is sold with the understanding that he/she will be purely a pet and will not participate in any kind of breeding. Within 18 months of birth, the buyer agrees to have his pet spayed or neutered. The buyer also agrees that this puppy will be a family pet and will not be used for breeding. Full registration is available to approved buyers for an additional cost.
