If you are looking to add a golden to your family look no further than Buckeyes Golden Retrievers! We are so thankful we found them! State of the art facilities, very responsive, knowledgeable and professional! Their love of each and every golden mom, dad and puppy is so heart warming and evident in the care that they give. We just picked up our dark red golden on Monday! We are so in love with her - she is sweet, snuggly, curious, smart, independent, beautiful and so much more! The perfect addition to our family! Welcome to the family little Lady! Buckeye Goldens, thank you so much for everything!
Marcellus from golden retrievers has been amazing to work with! I highly recommend Buckeye Golden Retrievers if you are looking for a golden pup. They make reserving a puppy easy and post pictures of the pups every week after they are born! The selection process was well organized and they were flexible with my pick up date.
First time dog owner here. We had a great experience with Buckeye Golden Retrievers. Marcellus was responsive and made the process easy. Most importantly, BGR gave us a wonderful "good boy." We've had him for a week now. He has a sweet, steady temperament, exactly as Marcellus described. Our pup loves meeting people and is very friendly. He has been unfazed by noises like thunder and the vacuum. He took to his crate like a champ and started sleeping through the night on night three. This tells me that Marcellus does an excellent job caring for the pups and getting them ready to be great companions. I would highly recommend Buckeye Golden Retrievers. It didn't take me long with this little guy to understand why people love dogs so much. And seeing the joy on my 12-year old son's face as he plays and trains with the pup is priceless. Thank you, Marcellus!
We couldn't be happier with our experience with Buckeye Goldens! Our golden retriever, Sundance, just returned from two weeks of professional training, and the trainer was so impressed that she specifically asked who her breeder was. She described Sundance as one of the most well-balanced, lovely goldens she's ever worked with — which says everything about the care and quality of Buckeye's breeding practices. Sundance is everything we hoped for and more — healthy, confident, affectionate, and full of sunshine (her name fits her perfectly!). We are beyond grateful to Marcellus and Buckeye Goldens for bringing such an amazing dog into our lives.

Questions from Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky families
Have more questions? Contact us. We normally respond in 24–48 hours on business days.
How far is Buckeye Golden Retrievers from Cincinnati?+−
We are in Dundee, Ohio (Tuscarawas County), about 225 road miles northeast of downtown Cincinnati. Most of the drive is I-71 north through Columbus, then east into Amish Country. Plan on about 3½ hours each way. Mason, West Chester and Blue Ash are about 10 to 20 miles closer.
Do you deliver to Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky?+−
Yes. We offer to-your-door delivery throughout Greater Cincinnati and across the river in Northern Kentucky, including Covington and Florence. Delivery to Cincinnati is about $750. Enter your ZIP code in the delivery calculator to see the price for your town.
Can we meet halfway instead of driving to Dundee?+−
Yes. Just enter the ZIP code where you’d like to meet in the delivery estimator, and the estimator will give you a custom quote. You are also welcome to text us and we will work out a meeting spot together.
Do Cincinnati families need airport delivery?+−
No. Airport delivery ($1,895 to your nearest major airport) is for families who live much farther from Ohio. Cincinnati is close enough for pickup at the farm or to-your-door delivery, which costs far less.
Can we choose our puppy without making the trip first?+−
Yes, you can choose entirely from home. We post update photos every week as the litter grows, and at 7 weeks we send individual photos and Interactive Videos showing each puppy’s Volhard score and personality. If we have puppies ready to go home, we are also happy to set up a visit when the pups are 8 weeks old.
What does a puppy cost, and when is it paid?+−
Our purebred AKC Golden Retriever puppies are $3,495 + tax. A $500 nonrefundable deposit reserves your puppy from a current or upcoming litter and counts toward the price. The balance is paid by card or ACH through our secure client portal. ACH takes a few business days to clear, so we recommend paying about a week ahead.
What should we bring for the ride home to Cincinnati?+−
A crate to secure your puppy in the car (or hold your puppy in the blanket from our Buckeye Starter Kit), a 10–14" collar and leash. Our Gotcha Day guide has the full list, plus places to eat and stay near the farm if you make a weekend of it.
When should we see a Cincinnati vet?+−
Within 3 business days of bringing your puppy home. That first visit with your local vet is required, otherwise the 2-year health guarantee is void, so book the appointment as soon as your pickup or delivery date is set.
