Yes. Our Buckeye families come from all over the USA. A Buckeye team member can fly your puppy in the cabin to your nearest major airport for $1,895, or you can fly to Ohio and fly home with your puppy in the cabin, or drive to our homestead in Dundee, Ohio. A $500 nonrefundable deposit reserves your puppy from a current or upcoming litter and counts toward the price. You choose your puppy from home at 7 weeks, and the balance, including delivery, is paid by card or ACH through our secure client portal ahead of delivery day. We provide all the health documentation needed for the flight, and your puppy is delivered to your nearest major airport at 8 weeks.

A Buckeye team member flies with your puppy in the cabin of the plane, and we normally meet you at the passenger arrivals area of your airport. The $1,895 is all-inclusive, with no extra airline or travel fees.

Book your puppy’s delivery with us when the litter is born. If the litter has already arrived, just request delivery when you place your deposit.

Book your own ticket, then call the airline to add your puppy to the reservation; pet fees typically run $50–200 one way, and most airlines limit in-cabin pets to about 20 lbs including the carrier. Book early, since many airlines limit the number of pets per flight.

We meet you at the airport, too. Fly into Akron-Canton (CAK), Cleveland (CLE), Columbus (CMH) or Pittsburgh (PIT) and we’ll meet you at the airport with your puppy for a flat $350. Akron-Canton is the closest, about a 50-minute drive from our homestead. Cleveland is about 1 hour 20 minutes away, and Columbus and Pittsburgh are each about 2 hours.

Most airlines require a health certificate from a veterinarian, typically issued within 10 days of travel, and we provide all the necessary health documentation. Every puppy also comes with a veterinary certificate of health, vaccination and deworming records, an AKC registration paper and a microchip.

Yes, most out-of-state families do. We do individual Volhard Puppy Aptitude Tests at 7 weeks, with photos and Interactive Videos showing each puppy’s score and personality, and you get weekly photo updates. Yes. Every puppy comes with our 2-year genetic health guarantee. Your puppy needs to be seen by your local vet within 3 business days of bringing your puppy home, otherwise the guarantee is void, so book that appointment as soon as your delivery date is set.

From our experience flying with Goldens, sedatives are typically not needed for a Golden Retriever puppy. We confirm your puppy is healthy to fly, and we withhold food before the flight to limit the chance of an upset stomach.
