We love our sweet golden girl. She is so smart and lovable. Buckeye golden retrievers was professional throughout the process from reserving our puppy with deposit, through notification of litter arrival and weekly picture updates. The aptitude testing was so beneficial and made helped make choosing our puppy very easy to join our other dog of the family. We would highly recommend this breeder.
We had a great experience working with Buckeye Golden Retrievers! It was a seamless and very easy process. Marcellus explains everything in details and shares updates throughout the process. I have already recommended this business to several friends.
We've had Ginger for a year! She has been a delight. Such a good girl and easy to train. Very pleasant disposition. Buckeye Golden Retrievers were so great to work with ! We still keep in contact through texts and social media. They still check in on Ginger periodically ! Wonderful experience !
This is simple one ... If you're considering a Golden Retriever contact Buckeye Golden's... Easy peasy!

Questions from Greater Cleveland families
Have more questions? Contact us. We normally respond in 24–48 hours on business days.
How far is Buckeye Golden Retrievers from Cleveland?+−
We are in Dundee, Ohio (Tuscarawas County), about 73 road miles south of downtown Cleveland. The drive is I-77 and State Route 21 south past Akron and Massillon, then country roads into Amish Country. Plan on about 1½ hours each way. Medina and Hudson are 10 to 25 miles closer.
Do you deliver to Cleveland and the suburbs?+−
Yes. We offer to-your-door delivery throughout Greater Cleveland and Northeast Ohio, from Lakewood and Westlake to Shaker Heights, Solon and Hudson. Delivery to Cleveland is about $300, our minimum, and most nearby suburbs are the same. Enter your ZIP code in the delivery calculator to see the price for your town.
Can we meet halfway instead of driving to Dundee?+−
Yes. Just enter the ZIP code where you’d like to meet in the delivery estimator, and the estimator will give you a custom quote. You are also welcome to text us and we will work out a meeting spot together.
Do Cleveland families need airport delivery?+−
No. Airport delivery ($1,895 to your nearest major airport) is for families who live much farther from Ohio. Cleveland is close enough for pickup at the farm or to-your-door delivery, which costs far less.
Can we visit the puppies before we choose?+−
Yes. If we have puppies ready to go home, we are happy to set up a visit when the pups are 8 weeks old, and from Cleveland that is an easy day trip. You can also choose entirely from home: we post update photos every week as the litter grows, and at 7 weeks we send individual photos and Interactive Videos showing each puppy’s Volhard score and personality. The same Volhard results help us pick puppies for families training service and therapy dogs with DTE Cleveland.
What does a puppy cost, and when is it paid?+−
Our purebred AKC Golden Retriever puppies are $3,495 + tax. A $500 nonrefundable deposit reserves your puppy from a current or upcoming litter and counts toward the price. The balance is paid by card or ACH through our secure client portal. ACH takes a few business days to clear, so we recommend paying about a week ahead.
What should we bring for the ride home to Cleveland?+−
A crate to secure your puppy in the car (or hold your puppy in the blanket from our Buckeye Starter Kit), a 10–14" collar and leash. Our Gotcha Day guide has the full list, plus places to eat and stay near the farm if you make a day of it.
When should we see a Cleveland vet?+−
Within 3 business days of bringing your puppy home. That first visit with your local vet is required, otherwise the 2-year health guarantee is void, so book the appointment as soon as your pickup or delivery date is set.
