From families around Columbus
Marcellus was incredible with communication and committed to helping me find the perfect puppy. The temperament testing was spot on, and the early training made coming home so much smoother. I'll definitely be back for my next Golden!
Callie has absolutely made our life complete! She's such an amazing, happy girl. Buckeye Golden Retrievers made getting a puppy so stress-free and was truly helpful every step of the way. We can't wait for many happy years ahead!
After almost 11 months with our wonderful Floyd I am finally sitting down to write my review! I cannot recommend Buckeye Golden Retrievers enough. Marcellus was a good communicator and answered all of my questions quickly. Floyd has been a perfect fit for our family and truly the easiest dog. We have five kids and busy lives and he is so content to be with his people, relaxed inside the house, and then playful outside. Thank you for our boy and we're already planning for a second 🥰

Can we visit the puppies before we choose?+−
If we have puppies ready to go home, we are happy to set up a visit when the pups are 8 weeks old. Picking starts at 7 weeks through individual photos and Interactive Videos showing each puppy’s Volhard score and personality, so you can choose from home in Columbus before you make the drive.
How much is a Golden Retriever puppy, and how do I pay?+−
Our purebred AKC Golden Retriever puppies are $3,495 + tax. A $500 nonrefundable deposit reserves your puppy from a current or upcoming litter and counts toward the price. The balance is paid by card or ACH through our secure client portal. ACH takes a few business days to clear, so we recommend paying about a week ahead.
American, Dark Red or English Cream: which should we choose?+−
We raise both American Golden Retrievers, including dark reds, and English Cream (European) Golden Retrievers. Our American vs English Cream guide explains the differences, and we are glad to talk it through with you.
What should we bring on pickup day?+−
A crate to secure your puppy in the car on the drive back to Columbus (or hold your puppy in the blanket from our Buckeye Starter Kit), a 10–14" collar and leash. Our Gotcha Day guide has the full list.
Can our puppy be trained before coming home?+−
Yes. Our optional Foundations Puppy Training program covers potty, leash and crate training, sit, no jumping, car rides and household sounds, in Josh & Lil’s home with only 2 puppies at a time. 10 days $1,500 · 2 weeks $2,000 · 4 weeks $4,000. See Our Program.
Do we need a Columbus vet visit after pickup?+−
Yes. Your puppy needs to be seen by your local vet within 3 business days of bringing your puppy home, otherwise the 2-year health guarantee is void. It is a good idea to book your Columbus vet appointment as soon as your pickup date is set.
